Exactly this. CP eats a lot of availability, and they can't open up general access until CP loads.I am trying for the same day and the CM I talked to yesterday stated that all of the Epcot restaurants are holding back the vast majority of their reservations until the Candlelight processional packages are released. This makes a lot of sense, I think the same thing happened last year.

Yes definitely impatiently waiting for this!
When? I can't even get a lunch ADR as its saying the restaurant will be closed.I made an ADR for lunch in December.

The time of the actual CP is irrelevant. The CP dining package allows for either lunch or dinner times ( just like the Fantasmic Dining package). Historically, they hold back dining times during this period until the CP packages have been loaded into the system. Until that happens, there will be limited availability for lunches and dinners, whether you want the CP or not. Just keep an eye out for the announcement. You'll be able to book your desired Epcot meals after that. But that's late at night no? I should be able to get a lunch ADR.

Does anyone know when they usually open up the reservations for Candlelight dining packages?
I know SeaWorld has one as well we can eat at while we're there. I'm not stressing it to bad.Not at Disney but if you can not get in and your kids want to eat surrounded by aquariums you can always find an Aquarium Cafe somewhere. It's a Landry's chain restaurant (like Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex)
The first or second week of July.
