i saw on another thread that the divequest is closed til mid january due to a filter problem. does this mean that coral reef restaurant wont be letting you see the aquarium? thats the whole reason we chose to dine there. Does anybody have any news

A filter problem would be a matter of public health and safety for people in the water, being able to view the aquarium has not been mentioned as an issue so there shouldn't be a problem with your reservation.

The above is correct, however, there may not be much (or any) aquatic life in the aquarium when you visit, depending on how bad the filtration problem is.

Yikes, we have lunch ADR there next week, wondering if I should look for something else? We've never been to Coral Reef.

We're supposed to have dinner there this Sunday. It's the kids' first trip and the first meal of our trip. I'll be so disappointed if we're looking at a tank of water and no fish!

Wow maybe I should look for another place to eat next week.

Anyone there this week?

we are eating the in feb, i am hoping it will be up and running by then

We have reservations there in March. I guess I didn't realize that the tank in the restaurant is the same one that they use for Dive Quest. Hopefully someone that's been recently will let us know what the situation is!

I was there last week. The fish and sea creatures are still in the tank and you can see them while dining. I didn't think the food that was that great but the atmosphere is nice.

While I am not sure whether the view of the aquarium would be affected, I can say that Coral Reef is a favorite of ours just based on the menu alone. I would encourage you to give it a shot regardless of the view. I do understand that being able to see the aquarium is the big selling point, though, so hopefully it is not an issue when you go.

We just ate at the Coral Reef on Tuesday and there was plenty of fish in the tanks. They may have pipes in front of the windows to test the water but you can still see in the tanks.

We like the food at Coral Reef - we do lunch because we pay OOP, and it is less expensive

What we like:
Creamy Lobster Soup
Seared Chicken Breast
Seared Rainbow Trout
Grilled Mahi Mahi
The Chocolate Wave
Key-Lime Mousse

whats the up date on this restaurant? is it open right now because we are there on the 5 for lunch

We ate at Coral Reef this week and sat right by the tank. Tons of fish in the tank and we even saw several divers and snorkelers.

Food amd service were really bad last time, but this is my DD's favorite so we will try it again in July for apps and dessert only. I will ask for a manager if the service and food are anywhere as bad as last year.
Wow,that filter issue has been going on for a while, I was hopeful they would have that under control by now!
