My family will be dining at the Coral Reef this month and wondering what the prices are like and menu. We Have a 7 year old and a 5 year old. We have reservations for dinner. Thanks for any help!

The Coral Reef is not inexpensive. For my family of four it is usually around $120-$150 for lunch including tax and tip. We really enjoy our meals here. Our children do not get specialty drinks and usually dessert is shared.
Adult appetizers for dinner are $6-10, entrees for dinner about $25-40. For the kids they have grilled chicken breast with mashed potato and green beans, a fish dish (mahi I think!), cheese pizza and pasta. These range from $5-10. Kids desserts are around $4-6. Kids specialty drinks--withthe lighted ice cubes are around $5.
Though it often gets mixed reviews it is one of our favorites. If you like large portions or are not interested in seafood you might not enjoy it here.

Don't forget that you can check the menus at www.allearsnet.com.

Coral Reef gets lots of mixed reviews but we went on our honeymoon and thought it was the best meal of our trip. However, it is VERY pricey.

Enjoy!

I'm going to take the opposite view....this is the ONLY restaurant in WDW that we will not ever return to (our experience was that bad). The food was awful the day we went, very pricey (we don't ever mind paying for good food), and the service was awful. We had PS and were there in off season and we still waited over an hour to be seated and then our server was very rude. We had heard rave reviews about it and were very disappointed. It was the only meal in Disney we were every really disappointed with. We do like seafood also, but will not be going there again.

This is one of our must do meals for the kids more than for me. They love the tank and they love the build your own sundae. We have had both great meals and not so great meals here. The menu changes seasonally and it can go either way. I have found if you pick the simplier items on the menu- like say a grilled snapper vs. the pan asian mahi mahi the food is better. It seems like the saucier something is the less I like it here. It also is one of the pricier restaurants but... the view and meal where the kids are quiet through the whole dinner...priceless
