Coral Reef ADR Issues

Hello all. Has anyone had issues getting a reservation at Coral Reef? I'm a TA and have been trying to make reservations for a family traveling in December. I got all of their other reservations just fine (this includes CRT) but Coral Reef is giving me a headache. The reservation system shows me a time of 9:15...from what I'm aware of the restaurant closes at 9. I've called Disney and they've told me there are no reservations for Coral Reef yet, the availability hasn't loaded into the dining system yet. A common issue for the 180 day mark. Only their 180 mark was 2 weeks ago. Anyone else ever run into this problem and have an idea of when it will be corrected??

It might be part of the Candlelight Processional dining package and I don't think those are available yet.

I also booked all of my ADRs for our December trip and got everything I wanted except for Coral Reef. I called Disney Dining and she told me a lot of restaurants have not entered their tables into the system yet.

She said just keep checking every day (or call). It is very frustrating! I just wanted CR for lunch, not even for the CP package.

I agree with other posters that they are holding tables back for Candlelight Processional which I guess means that we won't be able to make reservations for those tables until they are released for CP.

Evidence for this can be seen in the fact that you can make a very late dinner reservation (after 8pm), but nothing before.

I'm glad it's not just me! I've been checking back everyday for the past couple weeks. They just want a dinner reservation, not the CP at all. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

Even if they don't want the Candlelight Processional package, at this point there are tables being held back for the packages. So availability is not what it would be any other time of year. Check back when they release the Candlelight packages; some guests book the restaurant ahead of time just to make sure they have a table, then switch to the Candlelight package when it's released.

But how did they get the table booked in the first place to switch it. I am going 12/16-12/25. I checked every lunch (11:30-2) and dinner (4-6:30) and nothing. I have to add I checked at 7am on the 180+10 day - there is no way they were all booked.

I would love to hear from someone that actually got a ADR for coral reef before 8pm.

No luck here either. I've been checking every day since our 180 day mark and the only availability showing is for 9:05 PM, but with Illuminations starting at 9:30, that is just too late for us.

BTW, we haven't been able to get lunch at Tusker House either.

One other thing i'll add in is that for some reason some restaurants out of nowhere release a ton of tables for certain times of the year. A good example of this would be a few months ago I couldn't get a table at the garden grill to save my life, then one day this guy posts on here that there are tables open in August (when we are going) and I had so many options it was crazy. This was after spending 4 weeks trying to find just one spot any day of the week we were going.

Same thing happened yesterday with the Crystal Palace. If you were going the last week in August I would be able to help you out as I'm about to cancel a table for 4 at the Coral Reef. Keep trying, never give up! Subscirbe to the November cancellations thread and keep checking these forums daily for that great tip I got on the 2 mentioned above. It'll happen!

Exactly. No availability was released so nobody has a table yet. I've even had people at Disney check the reservation lists to see if they really are booked and there isn't one reservation listed. Coral Reef needs to get on the ball!

That's all I get too, 9:05 or 9:15. Which I find amusing because on the Disney World dining site, it says the restaurant closes at 9 pm.

I just checked today and availability seems to have opened up! Yay!
