We are down to Riviera and Copper Creek, on which to buy. How hard is it to book Studios at Copper Creek at 11 months in june or july?

June and July really hasn’t been that bad for studios at CCV. I check availability of studios almost daily and there were available well past the 11 month mark. I booked two studios for the first week of June without any issues.

Another thing about the CCV studios, they are very small. Riviera’s studios are much larger.

The only thing with Riviera is they cost more points per night. I think its like 121 to 134. But they are larger and sleep 5 instead of 4.

For the Riviera standard room. The preferred view is a larger difference.

In July of 2021, studios at CCV are 125 weekly while Riviera are 146 Standard and 183 preferred.

Keep in mind in 2021, the redistribution of points may make the summer a more popular time to book.

Hard to say. There is no way they adjust the points sufficiently to address summer being the armpit of Hades
I agree lol its rough but really June and July are our only Travel dates or possibly thanksgiving break on rare occasions but even then we might pay cash at a value for those trips. Even with adjusting they only took summer months down 2 points a week at CCV from 127 to 125.

It will definitely be less expensive to stay at CCV on a regular basis. The only thing I will add is that if one does not one at RiV, I think you are more likely going to be forced to book PV as SV will be booked by owners. At least that is my plan.

Another thing to consider is how many studios at each. If you get locked out of CCV, you will need to book a 1 bedroom at 11 months or wait until 7 months just to secure something

I think it still comes down to where would you be most happy if that is where you want to be. If you really can’t decide between the two and you like both, consider buying points at each and then alternate!

Yeah. My point is more that cheap points was never the ONLY reason fall was popular. Summer has always been a time where people who have to travel then do and suck up the points, but many people with more flexibility aren't going to back into summer even at cheaper points. Can't change the humidity and heat.

If we didn't get a Studio at CCV we probably would look for something else at 7 months. 1 Bedrooms just aren't worth it for us for how much they cost in points. I'm also a little worried about RIV, and how hard it is going to be to book SV studios there. We would also be fine with a Tower Studio too since for now its just 2 of us. CCV, BLT, and RIV are probably our favorite DVC resorts with Experation dates we want to buy into.

Well, I can tell you that SV rooms were still available at 7 months for June and July. So were towers. I think for quite a bit of time, especially summer, I don’t see having that much trouble at 11 months for either one of those!

Thats great to know. I really wonder how popular Rivieras Tower Studios will be since they only sleep 2 people.

I would say go with CCV if that’s where you want to stay. I’ve been able to get studios for all the dates I’ve wanted. I did however, walk studios for October and November.

My only regret in buying CCV is not getting more points. :/

The best thing about WDW in the summer is air conditioning. You don't have to leave your room/villa because you have AC.

The heat doesn’t both me. Anything under 60 is too cold for me. I was at HS a few weeks ago and it got down to the 50s. It was miserable.

I‘ll take 95 and humid any day.

Riviera has 66 standard view studios while Copper Creek has 78 total studios. I would guess that they will be equally difficult to book.

If those are your primary travel months...book whichever one you will enjoy more, and that fits your taste. I don't think you'll have any issue getting either of them at 11 months...and at 7 months you'll still have a pretty good selection if you wanted to switch out to a different resort or try the other one.
