Copper Creek Studio or Coronado Springs?

For $1,200 more, would you choose Copper Creek for a 7 night stay instead of a preferred room at CSR?

This is a tough decision to make for us- traveling with my wife and my 3 (turning 4) son.

Not for $1,200 more. But that just me. We could use that money for a lot of other things. We love Coronado Springs and stay there almost every time we go. Your mileage may vary. Cheers!!!!!!!

Nope, nor would I get a preferred room at CSR. There are plenty of sections that are almost as close to the main building and aren't preferred so I wouldn't spend the money. That's just me though, the walk never seems that far for us, even the far out buildings aren't really that bad for us. We are two adults but I'm old and my son has nerve damage in his spine and even so, it's not that bad a walk. Certainly not bad if you stay in Casitas 4 or Cabanas. The only advantage I could see for Cooper Creek is the boat ride to MK and that wouldn't be worth $1200 for me.

$1200 buys Uber Family or Minnie Vans for a week.

In general, when someone asks if something is "worth" an extra $1200 for a 7 night stay, there is a value request. I do not believe WL adds $1200 in value.

For some, $1200 is a rounding error in their vacation cost.

I agree with this. We've stayed at all levels of WDW resorts and only stay deluxe now based on past experiences. We find value in the amenities offered at the deluxe resorts. That being said, we look for discounts at the deluxes and certainly aren't staying in GF RPC (we did once, but didn't see the value!)

CSR= $1,110 Copper Creek Studio Villa= $2,294 April 9th- 16th.

Another option is a 2 bedroom deluxe at bonnet creek on disney property, those rooms are north of 1,250 square feet for $1,099

I'd go with CSR. CSR has better on-property transport. Bonnet Creek can be less convenient, even with a car, and you'll pay parking at theme parks. CSR is reasonably convenient to all parks via bus. Wilderness Lodge shares buses for every park save Magic Kingdom. The main place where WL really shines over CSR is the tot splash area, and Geyser Point. But if cost is on the radar, the value of the pool in that way really depends on your theme park habits.

We have free parking because of our annual pass and we will rent a car no matter what. My main concerns about Coronado Springs would be the smaller rooms, no guarantee of getting a refurbished room, distance from the magic kingdom (we don't take buses and I dislike the parking/tram/monorail experience of getting to magic kingdom). Still, that's a pretty decent amount of money to spend for the the privilege of staying at the wilderness lodge. At about $320 a night it is the best deal we could hope to get.

$1200? Absolutely not. Coronado is a very nice resort. Copper Creek is very pretty, but not worth $1200 more.

If you want a relaxing trip and plan to spend a decent amount of time at the resort enjoying the pools and amentities then by all means stay at CCVWL. We stayed there recently and it’s fantastic - worth the $$.

Agree with DisneyArkie, no way does WL compare to CSR. Granted that is a lot of money but I think if you can afford it I would stay at WL. Stayed at CSR once and that was enough for me. Of course that's my opinion but I wasn't impressed at all. Copper Creek is beautiful and WL is a great resort from the lobby to the pool to the atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

Agree with all of the above. The extra $1200 would be worth it to us for CC/VWL.
