Thinking of copper creek for our next trip. The one bedroom I see has a sleeper sofa, does it also have that cute little twin pull down I see in the other dvc? Also what is the outdoor space like?

No. CCV 1-BR villas sleep 4 - 2 on the King bed and 2 on the sleeper sofa.

The outdoor space is the same as WL. The CCV rooms were once regular hotel rooms and have been converted to villas.

No pull down bed
The outdoor space is lovely

That rules this out for us. We are a family of four, but now that DD is 20 and DS is 14, they do not want to share a bed (which does seem a little icky). Plus DS moves around in his sleep like a Tasmanian Devil.

Well, you could bring an air mattress for one of the kids to sleep on. You just can't exceed the room capacity. As a family of 4, you're fine.

True, but as a DVC member, I won't book a 1-BR where the kids have to sleep together. We fly, so I don't know how we'd bring an air mattress with us; plus I'm not sure how comfortable that would be or how much a really comfortable one would cost if we bought one once we got there. These rooms are gorgeous, so I hate that they won't work out for our family's preferences.

I hear ya! There are 5 of us traveling in the fall and I have a CCV 2-BR booked because the 1-BRs don't accommodate a 5th person like some DVC villas do. Seems like a bit of overkill.

The BRV 1 bed villas only accommodate 4 as well. The studios at BRV accommodate 5.

The only 1 bed villas that I know of that hold 5 are AKV, BLT, and OKW, unless they added a sleeping area when they remodeled BCV or BWV, but I don't believe they did.

BRV, BCV and BWV will permit DVC owners staying on points to have a 5th guest in the 1-BR villas but no linens will be provided for that person. IOW, no extra bedding, towels or sheets, but if you want to bring an inflatable mattress for that 5th person or sleep 3 in the king bed, you can do it.

So no sleeper chair or Murphy bed at BWV? If not, that is a bummer because I was really wanting to try to book a stay there one summer, if I could get it at the 7-month mark.

We own three contracts: VGC, AKV, and BLT. All of these allow five so work for the kids having separate beds. We also booked a studio at the Poly at the 7-month mark and it worked perfectly since it does have a Murphy bed also.

Ironically, there are enough sleeping surfaces in a BWV studio to accommodate 5 people (one queen bed, one full sleeper sofa and one pull-down Murphy bed). But there are only 2 beds in a BWV 1-BR villa: 1 king in the master and one queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

Well, that's really backwards! Do both room types only have one bathroom also? I know a lot don't care for the Poly studios because there's not much living space, but we love the fact that they have two bathrooms and sleep five.

Yes, the BWV 1BR has one bathroom, a king bed, and a sleeper sofa. Keep in mind that BWV was the second DVC resort on campus, and they really can't easily add plumbing. All of the 2BR units are lock-offs, which creates issues adding sleeper chairs in the LR.

Correct. Just one bathroom in the studios and 1-BRs at BWV.

Then trying to get the studio at 7 months would definitely be the way to go for our family. Sounds like there is no upside to a 1-bedroom for us since we really don't spend much time in the room, so extra space isn't a big issue for us.

Anyone know if they will allow 5 in a 1br at CCV like BWV. We are 5 sometimes with my mom along and our youngest is only 7 and easily sleeps in the king between my DW and I.

They will not. CCV is a hard limit 4.

But getting a studio at seven months out is harder than getting a one bedroom at seven months out.

True. Good point to keep in mind. Since we typically do book 1 bedrooms, I haven't run into this issue. I'm hopeful that we can book the Poly at 7 months since those are all studios (minus the bungalows, obviously).

On a different note, how difficult is it to book a treehouse villa at SSR at 7 months?
