COP song

I was so happy to get to ride COP yesterday, but it did not seem quite right to me. It just hit me, I remember the song being "Now is the time, now is the best time.....", yesterday it was "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow.....". Which is the original song and when did it change?

"Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow," which made its debut along with the Carousel at the 64-65 World's Fair in New York, portrayed exactly the same idea as that of the show - "Tomorrow is just a dream away." As much as Walt loved this song, a new Sherman Bros. theme was introduced in 1978, after the COP's move to Walt Disney World. "Best Time of Your Life" became an instant favorite among guests at the Magic Kingdom, and ran up until 1994 when the original song was put back in place

I like both of them but the first time I visited WDW, in the early 80's, "Now is the best time" was the song that was played. I have to admit that it still holds a spot of honor in my memories. Sadly, there is no place that you can even hear it anymore. I think I found a web site once that had it but my computer was to slow to really enjoy the song.

This is a highly underrated ride. I can't ride roller coasters, so I usually hop on this one while DH is riding Space Mountain. I never knew there was another song.

I am really dating myself here, but, the song they are now playing is the one I remember from the World's Fair in NY in the 60's. Actually, I like the other one better. But, it does bring back some fond memories.

I was thrilled to visit Carousel of Progress last week. It brought tears to my eyes. I was ever so happy that they brought back the original song, I must have annoyed everyone by singing along so loudly! It is a highly underrated attraction, it's just brilliant. Walt Disney was a man out of time and this attraction is just a small testament to that fact.

wow '94... isnt that going back to before the tomorrowland face-lift? Didnt that happen in like '95 or around there.

Old tomorrowland... jeeze. Delta, flight to the moon, mission to mars, WEDWAY!!

Love that attraction. Prefer "Now is the time", but both songs have merit.
