Will the COP in the MK and the Wonders of Life Pavilion (Body Wars, Carnium Command, etc) in Epcot be open at the end of July?

Good news:
CoP has pretty much remained OPEN throughout most of the last couple of years.

Bad news:

There was a lot of discussion on several threads a few months ago about whether "Wonders of Life" and its attractions, "Cranium Command", "Making of Me" and "Body Wars" were gone forever or just "resting" until needed ("Closed Seasonally").

Back then, the official WDW website had the most CONFUSING listing that said:
* Cranium Command: Open Seasonally [April 1- April 31, 2006]
* The Making of Me: Open Seasonally [April 1- April 31, 2006]

That led many (most) readers to believe that it meant that these attractions would be OPEN from (in this case) [April 1- April 31, 2006].

The contrary was true.
It actually meant that these attractions would "remain CLOSED" (in this case) [April 1- April 31, 2006].

But it was confusing BIG-TIME (and caused a lot of discussion between the posters as to its meaning).

WELL...
The Disney folks have "fixed" this confusing listing.

I copied the following (month-by-month) from the WDW Calendar Epcot site:

So, it looks like these attractions will NEVER re-open (considering that they are not open at all during the Summer... not even around or on July 4th, one of THE busiest times at WDW... or over the BUSY Christmas holidays either.

Sad to say that, as I really loved these attractions, but at least the listings are no longer ambiguous.
I just wonder WHY they bother to specifically list them AT ALL??

Specifically to Body Wars, the rumor is that it is no longer even "in the building" as the ride system was supposedly shipped to another non-US Disney park for use as a "Star Tours" attraction at that park.

Body Wars is thought to re-open, but it's just too bad that Cranium Command had to go. bye bye :(

What do you mean by "thought to re-open"?

First I've heard of this.

The rumor I stated is that the ride-system has been REMOVED from the building.

(Don't know first-hand, of course.)

Tell us what you've heard. :sunny:

Thanks for the information. I am glad COP is open but disappointed about the Wonders of Life.

I noticed last November when we were there that the Wonders of Life was not even listed on the maps. The building and the huge DNA strand are still there, even on the map, but there is no meantion of it at all on the maps that we brought home with us.

Kind of sad, I remember enjoying the attractions in that building...

Body Wars re-opening has been in the rumor mill for a while down in WDW... Some have said it will open up as a sole attraction, but after reading what you said about the ride being shipped to a non-US Disney park, some of those rumors may now be debunked... however, anything is possible! I wish they would reconsider Cranium Command... :(

The rumor I read about Body Wars is that extra cast have been brought over to be trained at Star Tours, presumably to work Body Wars during the busiest summer weeks.

I agree, Cranium Command should have been moved with the closing. I love that attraction!!!
