Coordinator v. Planner

I am an Escape bride and my coordinator is Tanis (I guess she does all of the Escape weddings, after looking at the DFTW website.) Am I going to get a planner or will Tanis be the person I will be working with until the wedding day? That's fine if she is, because she is very nice, but I was not clear if Escape brides get a planner or not. TIA!

Was Tanis your first contact? Like, was she the one who set you up with the contract? If so, she's basically just the financial coordinator. After we sent the deposit and signed contract to her, she assigned us our actual wedding coordinator in 2 weeks. I'm an Escape Bride, too!

Ah, yeah. Doreen was our first contact, too, and then she assigned us Kathleen. She assigned you Tanis after you sent everything back to her?

It is a little confusing for sure and DFTW have tried many different ways to make it not so.

In years gone by we had a Sales Manager who set up our contract and then once we had signed we were assigned an Event Manager.

Nowadays I can never remember if those that help you plan your actual day and are therefore with you on the day are called Wedding Planners or Wedding Coordinators.

The initial calls to Disney, I think, are taken now by Sales Assistants or Sales Co-ordinators or even Wedding Consultant who prepare your contract.

On the Wishes weddings your Sales point of contact will usually stay with you for the duration of your wedding planning even once you have been assigned a Planner/Co-ordinator just in case you have contractual queries etc.

Me too!!! Shes been very helpful with us as well. Every time i ve mailed her any Q's shes gotten back to us very quickly

I had Doreen as first contact for the contract then Karen Serrette for the planning she was great she always answered my emails. She had everything set for our wedding, she was on vacation the week of my wedding so she wasn't there Juliana was and she is wonderful
