Anyone else feel the need to do this? Or, is it just me?? We are going in March, and I have already been shopping trying to coordinate our outfits! I am especially doing this for HDDR and for Cirque! For days in the parks, I have already bought matching tees! Anyone else with the same compulsion? If so, what outfits are you planning? :rotfl2:

We did this last June! DH, DD10, DS 7 and me. The family didn't really mind. It was great because we were easy to find and everyone matched for the photos. Some days we had the exact same shirts on, other days just the same color. I say GO FOR IT!

I have 5 sets of t-shirts and one set of hooded, zip sweatshirts that I had made just for Disney and other crowded, busy places. I got the brightest neon and tie-died shirts I could find. It took some looking to find the same bright, distinctive color in sizes from youth XS to Adult XL. I had them printed with a simple geometric design, (three stars), in a bright, contrasting color on both the front and the back. I bought extra sizes up in the youth sizes so that my 3 boys had shirts to grow into.

The shirts stand out in a crowd. They help us stay together. I can spot one of those shirts all the way across Tomorrowland. I have 3 young boys, and it helps me keep them in sight when they are walking around. When I am hysterically looking around for one of my little wanderers, it is amazing how many blond-haired little boys there are that look like mine. If I can't see one of them and I call for them, people around me know who I am looking for and point him or them out.

We wear a different set every day. I find them very helpful.

I also go for the funkiest stand out colors. It definitely helps you keep track of everyone and pick them out in a crowd. :cool1:

My family wouldnt go for the same colour of clothes, simply it just brought back bad memories of several Christmas's in the 70's ( Were going with my sister, brother in law and my nephew (13) ) We agreed that for a photo with Mickey that we would co-oridinate and all look like were going to the same party but no one would go for lets all wear this. Luckily DH doesnt mind wearing the same thing or colour palette.

However we arnt there yet, and perhaps after a day of everyone trying to find everyone we might just end up in matching shirts.

Is it next saturday yet?

We dress the kids in the same outfits each day and dh and myself have matching outfitssome days. It is much easier to keep track of the family when we are in matching outfits. It looks great in the photos too.

I make or buy matching outfits for everyone, every trip. We have matching sweatshirts from school, t-shirts from local events, etc. I also use designs created by DD and DS to really customize the vacation for them, using PrintMaster or Disney software and iron-on transfer paper. As others have said, it gives me great peace of mind to know we all look alike in case we're separated; and it makes the trip more special - not to mention, gives us built-in souvenirs! My children are much less likely to request t-shirts on vacation, knowing that the ones we made are unique - and cheaper!

Try Zazzle.com. They make Disney shirts and you can get different styles with the same imprint. For example, you can get a tank top and baby jumper.

Oooh, that's a great idea! DS prefers tees (and needs the sun protection on his shoulders), while DD wants the tanks. Yes, I could still make them, but it's nice to know that there's another option.

My family would kill me if I tried to do matching outfits. They were mad enough when I made them all wear t-shirts with different Pooh characters on them!! But here is something I did (found on this board) that was very helpful. I packed the kids' outfits in ziploc gallon bags. I had one for each day & when you roll it, it squeezes out all the air so they are really flat too ( and remarkably not wrinkled). It made it easy to just grab a bag with an outfit so no one had to take forever trying to figure out what to wear. I used the bags after for other stuff too (wet clothes, ice, etc.). It alos helped me not to overpack because I could see I had 7 bags for 7 days. I took a few extra tops since they seem to get dirty. PLus we were DVC so we had a w/d but I think this is a great tip!!

I like to have my boys, 8, 4, wearing the same shirts. It makes it easier to keep track of them. I don't know if that will be possible this year, because they have some "theme" shirts they want to wear some days. They do enjoy being "twins" on most days.
My daughter always wears pink, so she is easy to spot. We have a few mother/daughter matching things which we enjoy.

Just bought my first round of matching polos yesterday. I think it is much easier to keep track of everyone in the same color. My kids go for it in the today is "Orange" day. But one year when I took it further to matching plaid outfits- protest from all sides. So I try to keep it simple.

We have a couple of matching shirts, but mostly we go with a color/theme for the day. I do this more for scrapbooking than for spotting each other in a crowd, but it works for that too. I just find that if we are in similar colors my layouts look better - you think I'm crazy too :teeth: !!

Your kids must be a lot younger than mine. My kids would rather stay home than dress alike. I can remember my own mother making the 5 of us kids dress alike to go places--she thought we were sooooo cute. I hated it. On occasion, we have been known to wear the same color T-shirt, but that was several years ago. Unless we were all wearing black, i don't think I could get them to do it now.
