Coordinating 2 Page Layouts vs Stand Alone

Do you always plan a 2 page layout or do you allow each page to stand on its own?

I generally try (compulsively try!) to coordinate the two pages even if they are of different subjects, but I'm finding that more and more difficult to do. I'll admit that it bugs me when my colors and style are radically different on two pages that face each other, but sometimes I just can't find a style/color scheme that works for both.

Anyone else have this dilema? I know my kids don't care about coordinating pages, but since I'm the once scrapping them...

Lately I've been doing a lot of 2 page LOs. If I do single pages side by side, I don't worry about them coordinating. There's only so much my brain can handle anymore.

I do a lot of two page layouts, because I find a single page space isn't big enough for many of my projects. However, if something is only worth one page, that's all it gets. I tend to make a bunch of pages and stack 'em to put in albums later, so 'one pagers' obviously end up facing other 'one pagers' without regard to whether they pair or not.

I base whether I do a 1 or 2 page layout on what I'm scrapping. If it turns out to be 1 page then that's what I do. I do not worry about trying to coordinate it with the page that will be opposite it. I don't scrap in chronological order, I tend to do whatever pictures I am in the mood to scrap or that I have an idea for. So, the pages in my books are always getting rearranged as new pages are made that go before or after them.

I usually try to do 2 page layouts but lately, I've had several 1 pagers. I just try to make sure they coordinate in some way with the other page so they don't look too disjointed in the book.

I do try to coordinate any 1 page layouts I have- but most of mine are 2.

used to only do 2 pagers cause I wanted/ needed everything to match and I dont scrap in order. Found it too hard to keep track of the spacing of my books. Over time tho I found out I was wasting alot of money because i was stretching single page ideas into two pagers for this purpose. So after 10 years I have give up. Its mine and Im going to make each page as nice as I can, and If for some reason it doesnt work out- the worst that can happen is I just leave the corresponding page with a nice coordinating piece of patterned paper on it. Its not worth frettin over :O)

I am like several of the previous posters. I rarely do a one page layout (I just take too many pictures for it to suffice in most cases) but when I do I don't worry about it necessarily coordinating with another one pager it may be next to. I sort of feel like them being different helps to accentuate the fact that they are stand alone pages about seperate subjects or occasions.
