Hey everyone! I am going to Walt Disney World in September, this will be my second time. My family and I will be staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, but I would really like to go check out some of the Disney hotels, as I didn't have an opportunity to do that much last time. I was wondering which Disney hotels you guys suggest checking out. Is there any special foods that you like at a specific resort that you can't get elsewhere? Is there a certain shop or activity that you can do at a resort that you can't do elsewhere? Is there a resort that stands out from the pack for you? I already know that I want to check out Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Grand Floridian.

Thanks!

If you are going to visit GF go ahead and visit the other monorail resorts (Poly and CR). Really enjoyed O'hana at Poly. Really like CR too!

Loved our meal at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. And since you already mentioned you were going there… ;)

My favorite thing to do is poke around CSR! It's so beautiful there and it has nice shops and restaurants. We just love to spend some time relaxing in the hammocks or walking along the beach. :)

Wilderness Lodge is great. Does not seem like you are at Disney/FL

I second Doing the monrail loop & checking out all 3 Deluxes....They're totally different from each other. Each equally awesome in its own respect///

And yes AKL - Boma is my top buffet, & Sanaa is one of those that you just gotta do 1 time.

I agree with doing the "monorail loop" and hitting up the 3 resorts one after another. Especially since you were already considering the Grand Floridian it would be really easy to get over to the Contemporary and Polynesian after that. Plus you get to take the monorail! Also, I think the main gift shop in the Contemporary carries the best merchandise in all of Disney. They always have a slightly different selection from all of the other shops in the resorts/parks. And while you're at the Poly get a dole whip:)

Having a resort visit day is so much fun! My husband and I did just that very thing this past April.

If you haven't been to the boardwalk, I would suggest walking around there and maybe having your breakfast there from the bakery. We got a delicious meal and ate outside on the boardwalk. We walked over to the Swan & Dolphin and checked that out too.

The Wilderness Lodge is almost as cool as Animal Kingdom JH...they are both amazing to see! And yes, Boma is great!

We love visiting all of the resorts, but our favorites to walk around and visit the shops are the Poly and WL. The tropical atmosphere at the Poly is beautiful and it's relaxing walking the grounds. Plus it's great seeing the castle off in the distance from just about anywhere on the Poly grounds. Second to the Poly, we also love taking in the woods/outdoorsy atmosphere of the WL. With that said, I agree with the others to do the monorail loop (Poly, GF, CR) and then take the boat from the CR to the WL to check out that resort as well. Have a great trip.

Our favorites are AKL, Wilderness Lodge and the Poly. Love the fact you can watch the animals at AKL. Poly is just so tropical. Makes me think we are in Hawaii, and the WL makes you feel like your out west. If you have younger children, we'd recommend AoA or Pop. Both are fun and bright.

Thank you so much for your suggestions everyone! I have now added some more places to my list to visit! :cool1:
