Canadian Ticket Offer

I'm not a happy camper. I figured there would be a price increase coming and so I purchased tickets through another site and now I could have saved $290US. Ouch.

4 day or longer... hmm. Some math required now for my next trip. Late flight home is much cheaper which would give me an extra park day.

We saved about 575$ for the 2 of us on tickets with this deal. But the hotel discounts are weak, we are paying 264$ for a standard room at Riverside in January. I don’t think I ever paid over 210$ it.

Oh well … the special doesn’t apply to the time we will be visiting during the Christmas break. The UK offer is still our best option. I was excited for a moment …

try renting dvc,,might be cheaper depending on time of year

Still not good enough to break personal embargo to US. At par would have been nice. Given attendance numbers Disney needs to try harder.

I think this deal (up to 25% off tickets for the next year) provides further proof that Disney is feeling the impact of the Canadian tourism boycott of the US.

In the past, how much of a discount were the Canadian tickets? 25% seems quite decent
I believe a 25% discount is the standard discount offered to Canadians.

What surprised me about this current deal is the time period it applies to (over a year into the future). But, I just found a post in this forum from August 2024, where the 25% discount is offered to Canadians on most dates up to September 2025 (the fine print of last year's deal says the discount ranges from 25% to 33%, depending on date; this year, the fine print states the discount ranges from 25% to 32%). So, perhaps this current deal has nothing to do with the Canadian boycott.

Actually, if I was an American, I'd be a bit annoyed that Canadians get offered such a significant discount on tickets, unless Americans are also offered a similar discount from time to time.

I checked a couple of dates just for giggles and indeed they were an honest 25% discount. If you had the time to fool around with other times of the year I think you may find some that are 30% off. IIRC that was the case in the past.
