Coolers and drinks at pool area at Aulani

Are you allowed to bring coolers to the pool area at Aulani? Any kind or just soft-sided? What about bringing water bottles, drinks in bottles, etc.? Appreciate any responses. We're going for the first time in Jan '23.

Coolers are no, but water bottles and soft drinks are fine. No glass at all.

We rarely bring drinks because we have cups but I make lunch in room abd bring it to pool every day. No problem.

We own at the Marriott Ko Olina, and always bring a small (holds like 6 cans and a couple snacks) soft side cooler to the pool with drinks and sometimes snacks. Of course, we frequently order food and drinks from the servers as well (their onion rings are the bomb as are some other items, and drinks are very good too).

It would be easy to enforce. Cast members are already roaming the area to look for unused, claimed chairs. If they see a cooler, they'll figure out who it belongs to and have it removed or else they'll remove it and bring it to lost and found. I guess you could be sneaky and fill something that doesn't look like a cooler with ice packs and drinks, but that probably doesn't happen very often.

Gotta love the obvious cash grab of prohibiting alcohol that wasn't bought at the resort!

I mean, if you brought one of those small lunchbox sized coolers than could hold a couple cans and some small snacks and kept it inside a larger bag it would probably be fine because you could always say oh it's a lunchbox.

But I wouldn't risk anything else

So we were there 1st time in July. And yes there are the stated rules,,,but we had a soft sided cooler down every day for 10 days. Now we dont drink,,,so it was water and fruit,,,and never had an issue. It was not a large rolling cooler but enough for bunch of water,,,some soft drinks,,cans,,,and fruit.
