Coolers allowed in parks?

Hi everyone,in another post someone recommended bringing asoft sided cooler into the parks instead of treading back to the van on days we want to bring lunch.Does Universal allow this? I know snacks are ok, but a full lunch? I don't want to be embarassed during bag checks. Has anyone done this and where do you eat? I wouldn't want to take up any restaurant seating. Thank you in advance.

Your allowed to bring food in as long as it's not in a hardsided cooler. A hoagie, a bag of chips and a drink (no glass bottles). I suggest individual bags for each member of the family.
