We are leaving in 5 days, large group of 47, from these boards I have learned that you can carry on a cooler with drinks, beer etc. My family is planning on bringing a cooler but the rest are to afraid to do so. Are you sure we can bring one on. I don't want to get there and have to bring the cooler back to the van. Thanks for your responses in advance.

We brought a soft-sided rolling cooler onboard with us filled with Smirnoff and water. No one said a thing to us and I would recommend it to anyone! Have a great time!!!

They do not allow hard sided coolers....so, if you have one of those don't bring it. We ususally pack what we want to bring onboard (booze wise) in our carry on and just use a small collapsible soft sided cooler that we open once we are in our room (it is packed away until we get onboard).

hope this does not sound silly - I have a little craft wheelie cart that I was hoping to be able to bring - it folds flat but opens wide! (REALLLLY WIDE) I was hoping to load with BEER..... and bungie cord them to be sure they fit - this would accomodate 6 adults btw! ( not just dh and I :rotfl: ) would this be allowed?

Bottled Water, Diet Cokes & Sundrops!

My family really wants to bring some bottled water, diet coke and sundrops to have available when we go to the beach. We don't want to put in a carry on unless that is our only option. Would it be okay if we just packed it with our clothes and other baggage?

THANKS!!! :flower:

You can bring a softsided wheelie cooler with beer etc. on board. We did this 3 years ago and again in March. They knew it was beer (also Diet Pepsi) and laughed about it. Keep in mind, you do have to be able to lift it to put on the security belt. It is similiar to what you go through at the airport. I remember the first time I did this, it was packed so full (about 60 cans) I could barely lift it and it wouldn't fit through (they hand searched it)- so this time I took a case of beer and a case of pop and had no trouble. We were evacuated from the terminal that day so we actually went through twice. No problem.

alwayslisad- I think I know the wheelie thing you are talking about. The only thing is you'd have to lay that flat to go through the machine. It might be too big and if it doesn't zip shut, you might have some problems.

Jenn - When you brought the case of soda and beer on board, was it wrapped so you couldn't see it was beer or did it look just like the case of beer you get at Costco. Out in the open?

I'd love to bring a case of water but I'd like to just buy one at Costco and hand it over at the port and ask them to deliver to our room along with our luggage (we are driving to the Port). Is this possible to just treat it like a piece of luggage out in the open?

Hope this makes sense :rotfl:

Thanks so much - I did wonder about that - will think of another way for this one! :)

Thanks so much for all of the information! :cheer2:

Do you have to take drinks in a "carry on" or can you pack them with your luggage not have to bother with keeping up with it? THANKS!!!! :confused3 :flower:

Sundrop is a very delicious, Citrus Flavored Soft Drink. It it VERY popular in North Carolina as that is where it is bottled. You can get Sundrop, Diet Sundrop or Sundrop also produces Cheerwine, which is a cherry flavored softdrink. If you mix the two, it is a Cherry Lemon Sundrop and it is EXCELLENT!!!

My family just could not go a week without one!! :flower:
