Congratulations Penny - that's wonderful news. Did you buy directly from Disney, or via a resale ?

I read that the new points at Boardwalk are already in short supply, so i'm glad we grabbed our 70 point add-on earlier this month.

I bought direct from Disney and used MB. With a December User Year it's not like I have to wait long for the points anyhow. That made it just $2 a point more than when I bought into VWL a couple of years ago. The fact that I could buy direct, get the size contract I wanted (I had been looking resale but add-ons are rare so practically speaking it would have meant buying another 150 if I'd gone that route), pay by Credit Card and earn those lovely FF miles was enough to push me over the edge

Yes, the points <i>are</i> already in short supply, I actually rang up a week ago to do it but the December Use Years had already gone - fortunately the waitlist came thru virtually straight away I'm thinking there's not much left to go on sale to the general public tomorrow!

Congratulations on the waitlist coming through for you so quickly. Likewise we never thought we'd find a small enough contract through resale for just what we needed - 70 points - so it was great news when DVC said they were going to move the sales office to create more inventory.

This month will be the first where I get the credit card statement and think 'Yes!!'

Enjoy planning the use of the new points - that's part of the fun, after all

Kaylee, I'm just waiting to confirm a couple of little details which is why I haven't yet posted to your CB 'When are you going thread', but it should be December 18th-26th at BW, then the 7 day Magic Cruise for New Year - woohoo!

Of course, that's using the points I already have, so now I'll have to decide what to do with my new ones - double woohoo! Hehehe.
