A couple years ago (before I discovered these boards) we just decided to give BOMA a try. After an incredible meal there, we strolled out to the savannah in the back. It was just before dusk, there was maybe one other family there. There's a CM / guide on duty. Ours was from Africa. He held my DS way up to the fence, pointed out several animals, gave us all kind of info, answered endless questions, etc. Nicest, most informative person you'd ever meet. This was truly a Disney moment, especialy after spending several hours fighting crowds at AK and really not seeing any animals at all. He really spent a lot of time with my DS, made us all feel very special. It was the hilite of our trip. We've gone back a couple times since and had similar experiences. (A little busier, but could have been the timing). However the guides there are some of the best cast memebers in all of Disney.
NewMom 11, we had the same experience at our first trip to the Fort Wilderness Cabins. While I was checking us in, a CM spent some time telling my kids about the butterflies and cocoons in the landscaping just outside the building. He was kind, informative, and had the complete attention of all 4 of my children. I thought to myself, "This is why I keep coming to Disney."
It least i KNOW where his mind is!
She scared my kids last time we were at Disney. They were walking about 7-8 feet in front of us. We didn't even see her at first. She was kind of hiding by the bushes and she blends in very well.
She stepped out when they got close to her and they turned around and ran back to us very quickly. They wouldn't even walk past her. We had to turn around and go the other way. I thought she was really cool but she does seem scarey to little ones.
