hey all!

does anyone know of a cool kids pool anywhere besides the HoJo? OUr dates in May are all sold out, and my 6 year old would really dig a cool pool like the HoJo has. No Disneyland hotels, unless they have an amazing rate for AP holders!!! :wizard:

I can't think of any, but remember, the hojo cool area is a water play area, not a pool (other than a toddler pool). The actual pool is the garden pool, and other than the toddler pool and hottub, the rest of the fun area is just a water play area. :)

AP rates for after April 30 have not been released, if there are going to be any.

I don't know of any other DLR area hotels that have themed pools/water play areas besides the HoJo and the DLR hotels.

It doesn't need to be a "themed" pool per se, just something she won't freak out to be in by herself... so 3 feet deep or less? :goodvibes

The Candy Cane Inn has a really nice pool area. Their main pool is not really big and at its deepest, it might be 4 feet in the middle and gets more shallow from the center out. It is also VERY warm (pleasantly so). It also has a large hot tub that is covered and then there is another smaller shallow kiddie pool which is about two feet deep. The whole area is gated and surrounded by beautiful flowers and foliage. This is also where you can have your breakfast as well. They have the best continental breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. My 7 yr old son loves to feed the birds around the pool during breakfast. It really is a delightful place! The very best part however, is that they have their own dedicated shuttle that runs on the half hour from the hotel to DL (and back, of course!) We just stayed at the Howard Johnsons which was nice but boy we really missed having a shuttle at the end of the day. The kids play area at Howard Johnsons is really fun but the water is FREEZING cold! If the weather is warm then its not so bad but otherwise ALL of the kids run back and forth from their play area to the hot tub. The hot tub became a pool while we were there as two of the days weren't as warm. One night we had 28 people in the 15-16 capacity hot tub....mostly kids!

We're looking into staying at the Holiday Inn and Suites Hotel on Walnut. They have a children's area with a 1foot pool.
