:cool1: :cool1: We have trips planned in July, Dec. and hopefully next June so we decided to order the AP. This is our first time buying the AP and the DVC discount sure helped .....or you could say it also hurt.....DVC stays means buying an AP pass which means you visit WDW more which means you'll want/need more points :teeth:

I can handle this type of pain :teeth: :dance3:

Aloha,
Jen

We bought APs for the first time also and now I HAVE to buy 50 more points, at least thats what I told DW. :cool1:

Our family just returned last week from WDW and picking up our first AP also. We also have booked additional trips in December and April. We are thinking about it in terms of a two free trips (no lodging or ticket costs) which feeds our delusional desire to be at WDW.

Watch out!! The DVC/AP partnership is a dangerous condition. It can often spur addonitis too. Then you're really in trouble.

Now that you have an AP, you might consider purchasing the DDE (DDE = Disney Dining Experience). It costs $60, is valid for one year from date of purchase and entitles you and up to 9 guests on the same check 20% off food and beverages (including alcohol) at most table service restaurants. There is more information here: http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dde.htm

I agree, with family of 10 last May saved over $600 in 5 days.

Thanks for the reminder Lisa. We did the comparison and decided that the DDE would work better for us instead of the dining plan.

Our upcoming trips will be so different for us b/c of the AP. We usually don't get to Orlando until the afternoon and we would never visit the park on that day so we wouldn't waste a day of our tickets. Now with the AP we can and will go to a park the first day and now we can go to Epcot just for dinner.

DVC has really changed how we do WDW and how often. Coming from Hawaii isn't the easiest but we have such a great time that we look forward to our more frequent trips! And DVC has changed my DH! At first he was the reluctant one that needed convincing but now he is the one that said we should buy the AP. DVC works wonders :teeth:
