I know the kids are going to love this trip anyway, but we are doing a few extra things to make it even more special.

I have read that souveniers are on the expensive side, so I ordered from the Disney store online when they had a sale. Instead of carrying them around with us in the parks. I think that I'm going to wrap them up (with a gift tag from Mickey, Minnie, Tinkerbell, etc.) and set them on the bed for the kids to find when we return to the hotel room at night. I'm hoping this will make it exciting to go back to the room so we can avoid meltdowns leaving the park. :)

A friend also told be a neat trick for keeping the kids occupied in line (mine are 1 and 4). String cereal onto dental floss and make necklaces for them to eat.

I'm also making Princess Hair/wig hats for the girls so they can be cute and warm. :D

What are some of the fun things that you do to make it even more magical for the kids?

This trip we stayed in the DLH. They have a turndown service, they left chocolate coins and arranged joe's soft toys each night. We told him it was tinker bell that came into the room to do this and we sneaked a present on the bed each night, a mix of things from home and stuff from the parks. He is 4.

Yes something's are expensive at dlp but there are plenty of little things for the kids that are ok. Costumes seem to be the worst, €60 for a buzz lightyear costume compared to £20 in the Disney shop.

Think this age is great as they believe in all the magic!:wizard:

I thought it was just me with this crazy idea, lol

When we get up on our first morning at home, someone will have left my son a new Disney backpack full of Disney books, crayons, sweets for the long train journey.

I've got small gifts for the mornings and nights! The first night he is bringing Disney mugs with hot chocolate and biscuits for us to have! (must remember the kettle)
Other things like face cloth and towel for morning, tshirts, pjs, new sticker book for journey home!

I can't wait to go and think I'm more excited than my 4 year old.
