Cool gift to bring back for teacher?

I'm busy with the questions tonight. lol.

My DS8 has the most wonderful teacher, and I would like to bring something great back for her. (Also something small for DD4's preschool teachers.)

Does anyone have any suggestions about what would be a good souvenir from the Eastern itinerary?

One night in the duty free shops on the ship , they were selling gold chains where you pick the length. My DD (4 1/2) saw they had a minnie mouse charms on a chain and we had some bracelets made for her preschool teachers. They loved them - They were pretty inexpensive (they are gold plated or something like that)

I was just going to ask, what do they have on the ship that is Minnie related. My DD's teacher loves Minnie and is also a pin collector. Any Minnie pins related to the cruise.

On the dutch side of St. Maarten they had (of course this was in December so they may not any more but...) these adorable christmas ornaments. they were gold filagree and all different scenes, and had st.maarten/sint Martin enscripted on them. We picked up a bunch, they were only like three dollars each and really unique. But as I said they might not have them now that the holidays are done. The have LOTS of pins on board. Also if the teacher is really special they have in treasure ketch these cool "wish pearls". We got one for our MIL the were around $30. You get an oyster shell which has a pearl in it. You make a wish open the pearl and put it in your necklace. the necklace choices were a mini head, a heart , a dolphin and a circle if I recall correctly. The pearls are different colors and each color represents a different wish.

I teach 1st grade, and bought myself a Mickey chain long enough to fit around my ankle. I LOVE it, and I too think this would make a great teacher gift. My kids love to look at it when I call them to "carpet time". ( That's where I sit in my rocker, and they gather around on the floor for our Big Book of the day)
