My friend loaned me hers so I would not have to heat the house up with the oven on...but she has no directions and doesn't use it...so that is no help!!
I made a ham in it, the recommended time was 2 and half hours...it was done in about one hour!!!
I want to make a 10 pound turkey (unstuffed) and want an estimated time of it to be done....
How much quicker is the roaster pan than the oven? I tried finding sites on google and not having any luck...any suggestions?
Can I cook a turkey in the bag like I normally in the oven?
Do you always add water to the bottom like i did for the ham? What else is good in them? I am trying to buy the cheap things that I can get a few meals out of at a time...
thanks in advance!!

:rotfl2: i have to tell you when i first glanced at this thread i thought it said COOKING WITH ROOSTER and for some reason that made me lol...i might be a tad bit delirious(sp?) because its almost quiting time...

I made a ham in it, the recommended time was 2 and half hours...it was done in about one hour!!! Sounds correct. Hams are already cooked anyway...you are just heating to the proper temp.
I want to make a 10 pound turkey (unstuffed) and want an estimated time of it to be done.... It really depends on what temp you are using. I cook a larger turkey at Tgiving time and it takes about 2 hours
How much quicker is the roaster pan than the oven? I tried finding sites on google and not having any luck...any suggestions? Again it depends on the temperature you are using and the way you want a finished product to be. When I cook a potroast for example I will let it cook for hours (until it is falling apart)
Can I cook a turkey in the bag like I normally in the oven? Yes but it is not really necessary
Do you always add water to the bottom like i did for the ham? What else is good in them? I am trying to buy the cheap things that I can get a few meals out of at a time...I do add water to mine in the bottom. I cook turkey, roast chicken, pot roast (beef and pork), even things like Brunswick Stew and Large batches of Soup.
thanks in advance!!

Hope this helps!!
