We own Calphalon non-stick (coated) skillets. The "plastic" utensils we use seem to melt (or at least peel) which we find more than a little gross. We have googled for these and found a few that "claim" they will not melt on high heat, but we would like to know what others use?? Does anyone have utensils safe for non-stick pans that do not melt or peel when you cook on high heat???

I've never actually used silicon but it would seem like that might be an option. Plastic utensils is one reason why I prefer to use standard stainless, metal ones just work so much better. I find my cooking habits don't really change between the two pans.

Are you using the Calphalon utensils? I have had mine for over 3 years and haven't had any problems with them.

I'll second OXO line. I've had mine for years and I love them. They've held up very well.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We "had" Pampered Chef utensils for about 10 years, but eventually they all started peeling. We threw out the last two just about a week ago and bought new. Just generic ones from Target and Walmart. They looked very similar to the PC ones; but obviously, they're NOT. These started peeling the week we bought them!
I don't know anyone who sells Pampered Chef anymore, but that would be an option if I could find someone, since they did last a long time. I'll also check on the Calphalon and OXO brands, we've never used those. (We just bought the pans as our Christmas present to ourselves in December and didn't even look at new utensils at the time.)
Thanks again for the replies!
