Cooking in a studio

Are there bbq grills at OKW? I have a hazy memory that there probably are.

We haven't barbequed at Disneyworld, but we do every time we go to Vero Beach. We grill stuff like corn on the cob, steak, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs and pork chops, all at the same time and then live on it happily for a week.

BBQ chicken and pork chops are good cold (with purchased potato salad, coleslaw, etc), and bbq hamburgers and hot dogs re-heat nicely in the microwave. We typically eat the steak and corn the night we bbq, and then use the leftovers for a bleu cheese, tomato, red onion, corn and steak salad over a bag of greens. BBQ chicken or pork can also be the basis for a good salad. If we choose to grill pork chops, we often eat them hot off the grill with grilled slices of fresh pineapple and grilled mini peppers, and the pineapple and peppers are great later in another salad.

Our Owners Locker has been a godsend. We keep stuff like foil, bbq tools, a jar of pork rub, a small collapsible colander, very thin Corelle plates and bowls, real flatware, good paper napkins in it, so it's easy to cook and we don't have to live like animals and eat off paper plates. :rotfl2: We never feel overwhelmed by having to cook this way, the room stays smell-free, and we get some relief from the cost and hassle of eating out.

There's a big Costco on Orange Blossom Trail, if that helps. (Costco has fabulous pork loin chops, good cooked shrimp, rotisserie chicken, etc.)

My DS had to have popcorn so I bought some and popped it in the microwave. Well not paying attention I threw it in and burnt it smoking up the place. We quickly opened the sliding doors and aired the place out.
