Cooking frozen waffles in hotel room?

:rotfl:

Ya know, some people are sensitive to dryer sheets, though, so if you try this method-- either avoid using dryer sheets or buy the sensitive kind!;)

Or use the waffle instead of the dryer sheet. You'll smell like an Eggo.

Wow...didn't quite expect such ridicule. The fact is my son has lots of food allergies and while the food court can prepare things for him, this is the budget board and I was looking for some budget like responses. I was hoping someone might have a trick...like cooking oatmeal in the coffee pot for example.

Thanks to those of you who were helpful. Hope the rest of you had a good laugh at our expense.

Hi Polaris,

Have you thought to ask Disney to keep your frozen waffles in the freezer at the food court? That way they can stay properly frozen? My sister is a diabetic who is allergic to wheat, corn, peanuts, and all oil except olive. We stayed at Pop & Music and they kept her frozen stuff in the back in a freezer that the employees used. They were nice about it. Just nicely tell them your needs. I applaud you for trying to do the right thing for your child. Go TEAM GOOD MOMMY!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Also, it is important to note the CM can make mistakes they are human. Better to be safe than sorry if Polaris wants to take control and make sure her son doesn't eat an allergen for his safety by bringing his waffles good for her. That way she knows that the food she puts in her childs mouth is 100% good for her child.

Polaris may come back to see and this may help someone else Agreed.
My there are some negative huffalumps around here........

No one is faulting the op for wanting to give her kid food that is safe. But some of these suggestions are just insane. Disney serves Van's waffles.

My toddler grabbed a frozen pancake today while I was making them and took a bite. It made me think of this thread. She didn't seem to like it. She made a face and handed it back to me.

:goodvibes
This video may help. Why fool with freezer waffles, when you can cook hot pancakes from scratch on YOUR IRON....

Well, I wasn't one who ridiculed but was "cautious". You see, you didn't give a lot of information in your original post (allergies, etc.) and often on these boards someone who posts a "question" like yours is a troll or just someone trying to get a "rise" out of the rest of us. You must admit, asking about using an iron to cook food, while not unheard of, has all the makings of someone who is trying to "pull one" on the rest of us. Also, the fact that you are a new poster sends up a HUGE red flag to the rest of us!

I hope you did receive some helpful information like my idea of going to Babycakes for some of your treats.

This thread reminds me of some of my favorite flame-attracting threads: the first of which was given by Belle5, it's my absolute favorite DIS thread of all times...

I remember one such device touted on Wings ( the TV show) ... I believe it was called the "Car-B-Que" :rotfl:

Only in that "Manifold Destiny", unless it's in reprints, is extremely expensive. The concept, the process, and the article, are entirely serious. You CAN cook using your car engine. In all seriousness, if the OP has a vehicle at Walt Disney World, probably a drive to the parks would properly heat the waffles.

That is adorable Tinker Belle♥
I love when toddlers explore and learn.
Sometimes there surprise at what they find is so fun!

Okay so this has been bugging me since I read through replies on this thread....

I took a quick look at the OP's other posts and NOTHING is troll like.

I really really hope the OP doesn't read this thread and see you all making fun of her :sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

I love the Dis - over the years I've received a ton of great information, enjoyed laughing "with others", etc - but this thread is just mean :sad1:
