Cookies for Santa

We always make special Christmas cookies to put out for Santa - and he never leaves a crumb!

(We do make them the rest of the year but use different cutters).

They're not too spicy for little mouths, quite soft and absolutely yummy! Do you have special recipes for Santa cookies you would like to share?

I never left out cookies for Santa because my dad always told me that Santa was getting tired of cookies & milk and he would rather have a bologna sandwich and a glass of iced tea!

Santa doesn't like milk in our house - he likes a large Bailey's "because he's had a hard day and Rudolph knows the way home anyway"

Santa gets homemade chocolate chip cookies and Lactaid....I thought EVERYONE knew that Santa was lactose-intolerant!!!

Don't forget the carrots for the reindeer!

We leave out whatever cookies. I usually have some made, but no certain recipe. The favorites tend to be macaroons and kisses cookies. I buy refridgerated cookie dough and make balls and put a hersey's kiss on top. I make different combinations. My favorite was last year, the mint chocolate kisses on sugar cookies. Others are just regular kisses on choc. chip cookies, reg. kisses on pnut butter cookies, etc.

Oh and we also leave out carrots for the reindeer! They are hungry too!

We make a soft sugar cookie and cut out shapes. The kids always decorate them. Santa gets milk here and of course, carrots for the reindeer (which somehow end up on the hearth and out on the lawn , half etaten!

We also have a special cup and plate that we use and Santa likes to move it over by the easy chair with the tv remote!
