cookie making at AKL and other ?'s

does anyone know when they have the cookie making at AKL for the children.the time and the days? also what time and what days do they do the special sarfari for the guest? TIA Marianne

We were at AKL recently and cookie making took place at 1 o'clock
in Boma. I think it was an every day activity.

The sunrise safari is every Tuesday and Saturday. It is for concierge guests only. You didn't mention in your post if you were staying concierge or not.

It costs around $50 per adult and $25 per child and you have to have admission for AK that day also. They check to make sure you have purchased theme park admission for AK before you leave for the safari.

It's very popular and there is often a waiting list.

Hi - the cookie making is really just cooking decorating - icings and sprinkles are on the tables for the kids.

When you check in you will be given a sheet showing all the times and activities taking place the week you are there. (ie) hotel tours, pelican feedings, flamingo feedings, night vision goggles, story-telling.

TheyCM's also do some fun things around the pool with the kids - my DD8 made animal fridge magnets one afternoon.

We did the cookie decorating at the AKL as a last minute thing and we all really enjoyed it! We were one of just two families that day and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. If you can make the time, do this for sure.

You might want to try out the Grand Adventures in Cooking for the kids. It is at the Grand Floridian and my 6 YO DS loved it this past January. They made wonderful choc chip muffins with mickey icon sprinkles on them. They got to pass them out in the lobby when they were finished. I have some great pictures if I ever figure out how to post them, I will.
