A friend and I are hosting a cookie exchange. Last year I got Christmas Chinese take out containers, filled them with crinkely shredded paper and put a cookie cutter in there. I then tied the invite to the handle. I'm trying to come up with something cute for this year. So far my only idea was to get mason jars and fill them with the ingredients for. Chocolate chip cookies. I would tie the invites to them. Any one have any other ideas?

Here's a cheesy one to get the ball rolling:

"Wooden" it be great to eat cookies all night? Come to our party and do just that!

You could tie that note to a wooden spoon. Stupid, I know, but for some reason I am laughing.

Or play on words like "dough"--"Doughn't forget the cookie exchange..."

I am also a fan of "Roses are red, Violets are blue" as a jumping off point for a cute poem. Something like "Icing is red, Icing is blue./ Come to our party, and bring cookies to chew."

Those aren't great, but they are a start.

How about tying your invitation to a cute rubber spatula? Crate and Barrel and Willisams-Sonama both have cute holiday spatulas...reindeer, snowflakes, snowmen. Or you could buy the mini ones in red and green and tie two together with your invitation. With curly ribbon it would be pretty cute!

OR- seasonal pot-holders or kitchen towels

Even colorful measuring spoons tied with pretty holiday ribbons would be cute!

Wire whisk?

:rotfl: My mind is running having fun with all these ideas!!!!

Good luck!
Katy
