Saw a while back where someone talked about a bakery store where they helped the children bake cookies. Can someone remind me of where it is-and at what time of day they did this??
MY DS-4 would LOVE this.

Thanks

I don't know about a bakery store...but there is Grand Adventures in Cooking at the Grand Floridian. The kids decorate baker's hats and aprons and then "cook" treats that they pass out to Resort guests. We have it booked for my 5yo daughter for Sept 5, 2003 at 10am. I think it is 1.5-2 hours max. We also have the Pirate Cruise booked for her as well on Sept 8, 2003. Maybe your son would like that as well!!

I think there is a place where kids can bake cookies at The Land in Epcot.

Thanks for the reply-but it is not at a resort-it is in the MK.

We booked the Pirate Cruise for my son as well. He is going for his birthday and will love it-esp with all the pirate stuff out now-POC and Sinbad.

Still looking for the cookie shop:jester:

Nestle hosts a cookie baking class in The Land pavillion at EPCOT. My son loved it! They all get chef's hats (paper) w/ their names on it and help make the cookies. After a little bit of magic, the cookies are done and they get 2 cookies to take with them.

It's usually 12:30 - 4:30 on the half hour (12:30, 1:30 etc)

For the cookie baking at the Land...is it a walk up or do you make reservations beforehand?

TIA!

We've seen the cookie making being set up at the Land pavillon but haven't done it. However, I do highly recommend the GF Adventures in Cooking. Here's a picture from this past Jan. He just turned 6 while on the trip and loved it! They decorate their own hats and apron. They made really yummy choc chip and mickey icon muffins on this day. MMMMMM...I could go for one of those right now.:p

The one at the Land was walk up (& free!), but if you go at a crowded time of year, get there early. They only take about 16 kids.

That one at the GF looks great! How old do the kids have to be for that?

Adams66...great photo! Makes me want to book my two, or at least try since our visit is only 5 weeks away!

Does your son usually help with the baking? My kids have helped make chocolate chip cookies since they were about 2 (now 4 and 6), so I wonder if it would be appealing to them.

Thanks for the information on the cookie baking in the Land. We eat there every year but I never noticed the this before.

I will have to make sure we try for it when we go in October.

MulanMom-

My older son (age 7) likes to EAT cookies but has never really been in to the baking process.

Wyatt (age 6) loves to BAKE but hardly eats any. He can recite a cornbread roll recipe that he makes with my sister by heart. He even likes to bake his own birthday cake. Last year, he had 3 different cakes before we went to WDW.
