I have caught bits and pieces here about some cookie baking lessons for the kids in DL? Can anyone elaborate a bit more on that or just post me a good link? I know my DD would really love this!

They hold it a few times a day up by the refreshment corner at the top of Main Street on your way to Adventureland. They do limit it 20 children, give each "chef" a hat. They can color pictures while they wait. Then they divide the children into two groups and each group makes a batch of cookies. Each child gets to put the butter, or sugar... into the mix. Then each child put the dough onto the cookie sheet. Since it is Disneyland, the sprinkle "pixie dust" on them and put them into the magic oven. Then they say some words, and pull them out all cooked. (to every mothers relief who saw how much salt went into them!) They give each child 2 cookies.

It was a lot of fun for the kids. My boys help me in the kitchen all the time and knew exactly what to do when. You could tell those children who did not have a clue. I felt even worse for those parents who told their children to enjoy this because they were still not helping them in the kitchen. :sad1: Yes it may take longer, and more a mess to clean up, but that is the way I learned how to love cooking and it was something I did with just my mom.

Its fun and free! They usually run it every hour, starting around 11 am, and ending around 3. My kids have done it twice and have really enjoyed it.

Since we will be there next week, I will have to check this out with my DD. :thumbsup2

Have a disney day
