convince me to go package-less

I've done H & V Fantasmic pkg last 2 trips. Booking ADRs tomorrow and I was going to try MM. But I'm not excited about the restaurant. I'd really rather do 50's Primetime for their fabulous Pot Roast. Going 9/5 thru 9/12. Can I get away with no package an still NOT have to line up an hr early?

Visited at that time of year so can't give advice on line.I would say don't give up on Mama's I know it gets mixed to bad reviews.DW and I love it though we always get great service and food we love the wood fired pizza's they have.I have to say I agree with you on PTC it is a must do for us each trip.So some time give Mama's a chance you may love it to. We were there around that time this past Sept. My in-laws came back to the resort with us after a long day at HS and then changed their minds and headed back for Fantasmic. They ate at the Brown Derby but did not have the package. They told us they had no problem getting into the show and getting decent seats without waiting really long beforehand. If it is anything like this year you will be fine.

We have been the last two years in August and have used the package.....However, we will NOT be using it this year.

1-we are tired of H&V and did not like MM

2-we walked right in and found a good seat in the general seating without even using the reserved section this past year

So, we will eat at 50's and then head over to F! and sit in the general seating again. I do not think you will have a problem. That said, I would not wait until the last minute, but I do not believe you have to line up and stand a long time before the show either.

WE always find that we get better seats NOT doing the package.

We've never done the pkg either. We like Sci-Fi. And if there's two shows on the night you plan to see Fantasmic, go to the second show.

We've always gone to line-up 30 minutes before the show and have still found good seats. Fantasmic - IMO - is one of those shows that really doesn't have any horrible seating!
