I have a 10 day non-expiring ticket - I am planning a very short trip in the fall (4 days) and then a longer trip next summer - I want to convert what is left of the non-expiring ticket (6 days) next summer into an annual pass. Can that be done? And if so, the new expiration date for the annual pass will be the first day that I used it in the summer right?

If you use it for 4 days this fall, you can't upgrade next summer - it'll be more than 14 days from first use.

You would need to upgrade it during your fall trip (for reason ravenclawtrekkie pointed out) and AP would expire one year from date you first used the non-expire.

I didnt think you could upgrade Nonexpiring tickets because they dont sell them anymore? Can you?

ahh gotcha! didnt know this! we have some nonexpiring tix left but they have been used.

One more question - how can you figure out the rate for the NE ticket vs. the annual pass if you are upgrading?
So I know if I would still owe money and how much?

If you think that ever in the future you'll be going back to WDW for short trips (1 or 2 days), you may consider keeping that non-expiring ticket as they don't sell them anymore. (If I'm understanding the type of ticket you have.) It's quite expensive to buy single or 2 day tickets so the non-expiring ticket is valuable for short trips. I wish I had bought another one as we've used most of the days on ours over the past few years.

this is exactly what we are doing...saving the 2 days left on our 10 day NE hoppers. Although for us to pay and fly down we never ever do only 1-2 days at a park so not sure what we are saving them for :( we purchased 7 day hoppers for next trip and will upgrade then.

If I'm reading correctly, and you have six days left of an NE ticket - meaning you have used 4 days in the past - it is already outside of its 14 day window and cannot be activated.

(ETA - Nevermind, I think I misread the initial post. Oops!)

As long as they truly won't expire I think they're worth saving for a time you might fly down to do something like the Halloween party and maybe go to Universal? Or before/after a cruise it's nice. Of course I don't know where you're flying from...lol!

we fly once year from MASS to orlando! thats all we can afford. Maybe years down the road we can afford to fly down for a long weekend sometime. no cruises here, tried it once and blech not for us. and no universal either. but yeah guess we are saving them for the unknown!
