Okay, I have this old ticket that should have have one or two days of ph tickets on it. Probably had water park tickets on it as well, but not concerned about those. One problem, it's. Rey old, from 1995. And, it belonged to ex husband, and has a pic, though his name is not printed in it. Is there any way I go to guest services and get it converted to an adult ticket that myself or DD24 could use?

It would be a normal transfer to current ticket media, if in your name. I would say to go to guest relations, explain the situation, and hope for understanding. If not, I would try one or maybe two other locations during your stay and hope for the best.

Good Luck. It's a shame to let it go to waste. Hopefully, Disney will let you use it after conversion.
Please let us know if you are successful, or not. Thanks!

A 1995 ticket is not really very "old."
But, it is not a MagicYourWay ticket.

The pictures stopped being used in 1996 when they started adding a magnetic stripe.

Hope they'll convert it for you.

I had a bunch of old paper tickets last year used from our extended family I took to guest services to convert. (like 15 with various remaining days). When I got there I was worried about whose ticket was whose. The guest services person told me that with the conversion it would "wipe" the info and they could be used by anyone in our party....but once assigned would be forever linked to that person. That has been true and we have not had any trouble using the now "newly assignable" tix. I would just convert it and try to use it without "the story". Party line is that if it belongs to ex husband, then it forever belongs to ex and they might not let you. But if all the data is wiped with reissue, you should have no trouble using as you will reset the data for the first time you go in. If you have any trouble, you could always go back to guest services and try for sympathy and plead your case...but I bet you would have the same, with the biometrics needing to be reset with the new RFID...so you would be good to reset it with yours.

NEM, did they give you one RFID ticket for each of the old paper tickets? We have several of those too.

Yes, they replaced each paper with a RFID ticket. I wrote in sharpie on the back of the new RFID ticket what entitlements were left. They are only supposed to do "6" at a time at Gust Services, but I pleaded with them as I had so many and the media was such a drastic change and the DD services went ahead and did them all at one time...it was a not so crowded time of day when they did more than the "6"

Thanks for the info you shared, NEM, gives me hope! I'm assuming you didn't have all your extended family with you at GS, NEM, or did you? Did they ask about the guests who weren't there(if they weren't)?
I plan to go to GS with the ticket and hope they'll convert for me without too much trouble, but that's probably wishful thinking. I even called and asked the phone CM, she left for a bit and came back saying they should convert for me even without my 'husband' there. Of course, we all know how that goes, but we'll see I guess. I didn't mention the Ex part, lol, and don't plan to at the GS window, either. I'll bring mine and DD's along too, for them to check just in case. I think we probably used all 4 park hopping tickets on them but they should at least have water park on them, but don't know for sure. I won't specifically mention him until/if they ask about him. I'm hoping that saying he can't be here right now, but we wanna get all the tickets done now so we are set will work, lol. Maybe checking all of ours will help so they'll just convert all three to park tickets or the water parks left. I hope as you say, NEM, they will wipe ours, and then I'll definitely assign it to me! I think the biggest problem is that ex's ticket has his pic on it, so that may start a question.

I'm going to try this when on our trip for the 24 hr event. I'll try to remember to come back and report how it goes, I'll need that luck, thx, lol!

Twenty years ago, Robo! That seems so long ago, lol.

No, I was there alone. My sister took the kids off somewhere. They did not ask for anyone. I just walked up and said I have old tix I need to convert to the new system (I handle all the tix for my and my sisters family - 9 of us in total and rarely is anyone with me...it is easier to sort out alone!). And the Cast member scanned them and then told me what entitlements were left and printed the new RFID tix. I then showed her the stack I had and asked if it was true they could really only do 6 and she said she would help me out...or something to that effect.

I had everyones names on the back - we each have non expiring active hoppers and one day/one park tix..so there are a lot of tix.... and after a few I said how do I know whose is whose? As she was going very fast...and that is when she told me about the having to reset the biometrics with the conversion. I do ticket stuff all the time without the guests they are attached to. They will not ask you to have the guest present and did not ask me names when they reissued the RFID cards. She just printed them all up. I would just walk up and say I need to convert these to the new ticket media with no story. The cards will come back to you with no pics and no names on them. Let them change them and then I would try to use husbands first entry and if it doesn't work, then you can plead dumb and try the story, but I really think you would get in fine and reset the biometrics to boot!. I did mine at Downtown Disney Guest services, which I find a bit more user friendly that the ones attached to parks. If you have time to go there the day you arrive. You can't set the new biometrics until you enter a park.

Personally if I had any trouble, I would just please that it was my card, I just had it changed last night and now it doesn't work...see where that goes. You don't go to Disney jail or anything. I had every intention of keeping the cards assigned to who was using them, but when the reset cleared the data, then I feel not one bit bad about using them as I need them. I look forward to hearing how it goes! I hope it is a non-issue for you!
