convert ticketmania child ticket to adult ticket

I am deciding whether to buy MYW tickets from ticketmania. Here is my question for my son's ticket. I plan to buy a 6 day hopper with no expiration. He will need a child's ticket the first trip, and an adult ticket for the second trip. I know if you purchase the ticket from disney, they change his already used child's ticket for an adult ticket for him free of charge. Will they do this if the ticket was purchased at ticketmania.

I know you cannot use ticketmania tickets to get an upgrade from disney, but I did not know if this is considered an upgrade under this situation.

The tickets you get from Ticketmania ARE legitimate Disney tickets. Disney sells them to TM at wholesale prices, and they (legally) resell to people like you and me.

Their tickets are just as valid as those you buy direct from Disney and carry the same rights and priviledges.

As long as your son uses at least one day on the ticket while he is in the Child age bracket, he will have no problem upgrading. As the old saying goes, Disney does not penalize guests for growing up.

tjkraz is correct. But if your son is only going to be 10 or 11 when you go the second time, just use the child ticket as is. You will have no problem doing so.
