My mom and I are taking a trip in October to WDW (our 4th trip) and I was wondering if it would be comfier to wear Converse or TOMS Shoes in the parks? I already have a couple pair of Converse and plan on ordering a pair of TOMS. Which are comfier to wear all day in the parks? :)

It really all depends on your feet. Can you wear your current shoes all day, walking about 5 miles and still be happy?

I don't know about Converse, but do not wear Nike SHoxx around the parks, my feet were killing me by the end of the day.

I don't know what Toms are, but I have worn Converse on my last two trips and have been perfectly fine.

My advice would be bring them both and switch off. I usually keep an extra pair of shoes in the car. If I'm having problems for some reason, I switch off in the afternoon. If not, I'll switch the next day. What ever shoes you take, make sure that they are well broken in before you go. I loved my Converse, but my Vivos and Keds were equally as comfy. HTH

I wear Chucks religiously and had no problem walking in them, but I'm used to wearing them. If you like them and know they feel good to you, go for it.

I wore a pair of converse style sneakers last year and while they were comfy in the parks, when I got home I had Plantar Fascitis..I think they were just too flat for me(I have high arches). Ditto for the Crocs..need to find a new option for this coming September.

I am going to buy a pair of Asics to see how they perform. I will also take along my adidias just in case.

I'd bring both that way if one pair starts to hurt your feet you can switch and wear the others.

I can't walk around in converse for too long without my feet hurting, but I feel like I could walk for days in TOMS. Wearing TOMS makes it feel almost like I'm walking barefoot - I love it!

If you are going to wear Converse, you need to make sure that you break them in first or else you'll get blisters.

I am wearing toms on this upcoming trip and golly gee, I love them. They have quite nice arch support, surprisingly and they let your feet breath.

But, either ones you need to break in.

Have you ever tried Vegan Earth brand? They're like walking on air! They have an amazing sole on them. Don't get me wrong, I have a high arch too - I'd rather go without arch support at all than the wrong sort of arch support in my shoes. I love flip flops and chucks, but when it comes to treating my feet well, nothing fits like the Earth brand, and they make dressy shoes and tennis shoes!
