That selfish, take it while I can, gimmee, gimmee, gimmee attitude has caused the majority of the problems in the world (especially this country) today. From big corporations all the way down..........
I'm sure when you were a child your favorite phrase was, "HE/SHE GOT ONE!!".
Morals have to start somewhere and I guess they aren't starting with you.
"What is right or wrong?" Wow that makes me think. Instead I'll just do what I want.
Digressing.........

Sorry if I was 'judging' others. I guess I got a little carried away trying to make a point.
My apologies.......
mjkaferle5 said:OK. If this doesn't sound odd to you.......
Next time I go to the movies I will pay child rate. Something tells me they won't let me do that...........but I'll tell them you said it was OK.

mjkaferle5 said:Sorry all. I never meant to give the impression I was better than others. I suppose I used the wrong 'plan of attack' in making my argument.
I'll simplify it: I'll use an adult credit for an adult. I'll use a child credit for a child.
Everyone do as you like, but that is what I am doing.
Sorry if I offended anyone.

Lewisc said:The problem isn't with your "plan of attack". The problem is with your argument. There is no such thing as a child credit or an adult credit.
Assume you have 2 children and 2 adults. You eat together and use 4 TS per night. The second to last night the two adults go to a signature restaurant without the kids. The waiter charges your account 4 credits. The last night your family goes out to dinner. You have 2 TS credits remaining. Under your imaginary rules you should insist on paying for the 2 adult meals and use the 2 remaining credits for the children. OR the last night the 4 of you go to a signature restaurant. Do the 4 remaining credits go to pay for the 2 adults or 1 child and 1 adult? Should you follow Disney's rules and just pay for the kids or your imaginary rule and pay for one child and one adult meal?
If too many guests take advantage of Disney's generous rules Disney may change the rules but that doesn't make you better than guests who chose to follow Disney's rules and not your imaginary rules.
It's a good thing most of us chose to quote your original posts otherwise our replies would be out of context.
Of course you meant to say you had higher ethical standards than people who don't follow your imaginary rules.

If those of you who are pooling your credits and stretching them out to get more meals are worried that Disney is not going to pool them together anymore (and it might "ruin" your plans), I suggest that you create a schedule for both methods.
This way, if you begin dining at WDW and find that they have decided to count a child's credit as that, you would have a non-stressful backup plan and cancel the extra ADR's you have.
Personally, I am thrilled with the DP just as it is. If you do the math, most days the TS meal pretty much pays for the DP and it's like you get the CS nd snacks for "free".
Disney is coming out so far ahead with the DP for our family. We usually wouldn't eat in the parks except for a few meals. With us on the DP, they are getting ALL of our money for food items in their parks.
I hope if you purchased the DP that you sit back and enjoy the fact that you can eat at some nice, relaxing TS meals without having to worry about tax and gratuity and that your DS are touching their food. My smallest one never eats more than a few bites of anything and I always "stress" about buying her food that she never eats. The DP frees me up because I feel like I am coming out ahead if she eats at the nicer places (like buffets, etc.) and if she only eats a little more than normal, hey, it's worth it.
When it comes down to it, you come out ahead and so does Disney with this DP. If it's causing you stress and worry, I'm sorry. For our family, it's a blessing and is helping to make planning worry-free!
Good luck to all of you and happy Disney dining!![]()
