Convention--or--Conference

Just a little observation....Pete refers to our DIS-Con 2001 as a "conference" and many of us refer to it as a "convention". <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused"> <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif" alt="red face">

I am wondering if there is a difference, and if so, what is it? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused"> <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif" alt="red face">

My guess is that at WDW they use the term "conference" for something this size...and they reserve the term "convention" for someting a little bigger. Am I close?

Hmmmm......I always think of a Conference as being meetings - has a "boring" feeling to me.

But, Convention sounds fun!

I guess it's all in my head! LOL!
