Contract closed how long before...

we are in the dvc system, email says up to 10 days. We receive welcome packet, a few weeks. We receive membership cards, a few weeks after welcome packet. Is this time line accurate, how long did you have to wait. Not planning a trip right a way, just a little excited.

I am assuming you are talking about a resale contract. We closed and were in the Disney system within 5 days to make reservations. I don't remember how long it took to get the planner book and cards, but a few weeks sounds about right.

Sounds like our time line, too. After about 6 weeks(bought direct from Disney) we received our deed in the mail and I just filed it with my other papers. Welcome Home!!

We just closed through resale on Friday, Aug 21st, though it was supposed to be the 18th, but something held it up. We were in the DVC system by the following Wednesday and had points by late afternoon on Thursday. We received our membership book on Saturday...no cards yet though.

Our Guide actually booked our first trip for us the day we made our down payment.

We just had two contracts close on the same day. One had points available within 5 days, the other took over a week. No idea why one was put into the Disney system so much quicker than the other, when Disney received them the same day!!
