Contract closed and sent in

The final doc's were sent into Disney on Friday from the TSS and they said it would be 8-10 business days until we are in the Disney system. I was wondering how will I be notified that we are officially in the Disney system?

I would love to view the DVC website, but I don't yet have a log in, when would I get that?

The only information I have now is the contract number.

Can someone tell me what to expect. I need to order an AP before 11/28.

I have read that people have called to check, but I don't have a number to call. Other than the standard forms for the sale that I got from TSS, I have no information.

Your agent from TSS can give you the # to call & check as to your status.

Since you're waiting to buy an AP, I suggest not waiting to be notified & calling MS after the appropriate # of days to verify.

We had an expedited closing since we wanted to book a ressie, had a typo that was caught when I did call MS, took a few extra days but, was resolved...glad we checked.

BTW, you can just show your DVC card @ guest services & get the AP disc. rate.

I'd wait a week after closing and call MS -- although it really will probably take 10 business days. With your name and contract number, they'll be able to look you up. Actually, I think they just need your name and address.

I could be wrong, but I don't think TTS has any way of knowing when Disney puts you in the system.

Quite often getting in the system is a two-day process. First the account gets created, but if you happen to call MS on that day, they'll tell you that you're in, but there are no points in the account. In our case, the points went in the following day.

Once you're in, MS can give you your PIN for the member's site, I think.

You won't get the card for a while, but you'll still be in the system and will be able to get all the benefits, including the AP discount.

We can't post the MS number here (it will come out *** anyway), nor can we send it to you via PM. But if you will PM or email me your real email, I'll reply with the number. Or, you can call TTS and they'll give it to you.

Yes you can get your PIN from Member Admin once they have you in the system. They asked for my name and my contract number before giving me the information.

The other piece of info you will need in order to log in to the member's website for the first time is a "Club ID", which is not the same thing as your membership number. Those buying directly from Disney get the Club ID with their paperwork but when buying resale, you do not, so be sure to ask Member Admin for both your Club ID and your PIN once you are in the system.

I think I will call the TSS and ask them for the phone number for MS. When the closing doc's were submitted, I was told that it will be 8-10 working days until we are in the Disney system. Initially, I thought Great!! But when the excitement wore off, I thought ok, so what does that mean?


Thanks for the detailed information. We have a cash reservation using an AP that I let expire when we decided to buy into DVC. I don't have a DVC membership card yet, and I was not sure I was going to get it in time for the trip after Thanksgiving. So, I was going to atleast get the AP over the phone with the discount and pick it up at will call, when we arrived.
