I know this pin is awarded to quests by Cast Members and possibly Managers to Castmembers. My questions are:

1. Can these pins be awarded any place on Disney property (i.e parks, Resorts)
2. Is there a limit on how many pins can be awarded at a time.
3. If you are awarded one does the person giving it just go "here you are" or is it something more than that.

Thanks for looking,

I was awarded the CTT pin at the Epcot event on Thursday during the breakfast. There were a few CM suits and one or two traders around us. He didn't make a large presentation, just said I deserved the pin because I had given him a pin he really wanted without asking for something in return. the suits all clapped so I guess it was "awarded".
I was also present when Scoop awarded Lauri and Jeff. Scoop did ask for everyone's attention and he presented the award. It was great to see them get it because of all they had planned for the event, and they did deserve it for Continuing the pin trading tradition.
I have also seen suits and CMs give the pin to children. They don't award it per say, they just give the pin to them and tell them it should not be traded because it is the pin that shows how these children are continuing the tradition of trading.
Personally I don't agree with awarding children the pin. I and many others have given pins to children. I want to encourage them to trade and enjoy the hobby, but to give them a pin that means so much to those of us who are trying to continue the tradition just doesn't make sense to me.
There are many many people on the boards who I have seen work very hard to continue the Tradition of pin trading, either by giving pins to people or making trades that are not "equal" in order to help someone get the pin they really want. These people are the ones who are Continuing the Tradition. Peggie

Hubby and I received our CTT pins from David at World of Disney after we completed the pin pursuit at the pin event. It was very discreet, and he just handed them to us. No presentation or anything. Seemed very 'hush-hush'.

I was given one during a little presentation by Amy at the Pin Event. It was one of 4 they handed out that way at that time. The others were just given to me with a little word of Thank you on behalf of Disney.

Thanks for the explanation guys of what and how the pin is given; I knew it was obviously an important pin, but really didn't know its origin, or who and how it was given. So, "officials" go around watching, or do they know about "certain" people ahead of time?

Congratulations again to everybody who received this very special recognition.:sunny:

The CTT pin seems be be given out at the discretion of managers or whomever has one to reward those who trade with the spirit of Disney in their trades... Mike (my Fiance) received one from Scoop Sanderson the first day of the pin event for bringing Scoop 2 of the main street usa pins from Disneyland (he uses them as his personal 'reward' pin), and I received one from the manager of the Boardwalk Pin cart for talking to another guest about how to value rarity & a little bit about pin trading 101.

It's not a pin I'll trade, but I may pass mine on to someone in CA that I see doing good for the world of pin trading (I don't think they've made it out here yet).
