Recently there was an error on my credit charge statement, I had been charged $239.00 for merchandise I have not received. I called the credit card company, they instructed me to call the merchant in question and request that they issue a credit. I did this, (babycatalog.com) they are insisting the item in question had been shipped and I should have received it by now.
You see, several months ago, I put my name on a waiting list for a car seat (at babycatalog.com's web site) I never got an e-mail from them saying the catseat had become available, nothing, no contact from them. Then the $239.00 charge appeared on my card (in order to hold a spot on the waiting list, you needed to give a credit card #) When I spoke w/ someone at babycatalog.com, I didn't get the feeling that they were going to be very helpful, she said she would call me back because Fedex couldn't track my shipment because the computer was down. I have already purchased another carseat, I have no use for the one they say was shipped to me, had it been delivered to my home I would have refused the delivery. So, my question is, does anybody have experience dealing w/ babycatalog. com, and any advice on how to resolve this?

No experience with this company, but you should call back to your credit card company and asked them to investigate this. They should put a temporary credit on your card right away. Good luck.

Whenever we have contested charges our credit card company has made it extremely easy. All we have to do is fill out a form and they credit us.
