Recently there was an error on my credit charge statement, I had been charged $239.00 for merchandise I have not received. I called the credit card company, they instructed me to call the merchant in question and request that they issue a credit. I did this, (babycatalog.com) they are insisting the item in question had been shipped and I should have received it by now.
You see, several months ago, I put my name on a waiting list for a car seat (at babycatalog.com's web site) I never got an e-mail from them saying the catseat had become available, nothing, no contact from them. Then the $239.00 charge appeared on my card (in order to hold a spot on the waiting list, you needed to give a credit card #) When I spoke w/ someone at babycatalog.com, I didn't get the feeling that they were going to be very helpful, she said she would call me back because Fedex couldn't track my shipment because the computer was down. I have already purchased another carseat, I have no use for the one they say was shipped to me, had it been delivered to my home I would have refused the delivery. So, my question is, does anybody have experience dealing w/ babycatalog. com, and any advice on how to resolve this?
