Would someone please tell me what is the difference between the standard view and the garden/lake view at the Contemporary? When I booked I received a garden view. I didn't realize it was an upgrade. Is the view worth it?

I think a standard view is parking lot. A garden/lake view (we had this back in June in south wing) is a view of landscaping and/or the lake. Our view was quite nice.

I will send you a pm so you can look at my pics if you want.

Stnadard is parking lot. Pretty blah, garden views can be almost as good as lake views,we were there in June, got a wing room, were right in the inside corner, bottom floor. Room 8101, we were able to walk out to the playground and pool area easily.

A standard room view isn't necessarily bad.

I stayed in room #7264 (in the North Garden Wing).

(see map: http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/contmap.html )

I had a great view of the north side of the tower and of the monorail.

I believe some standard rooms may have a view of Space Mountain and some may have a view of the higher fireworks at the MK.
