Contemporary supporters?? Are there any out there?

I am also a HUGE Contemporary fan. I've been to Disneyworld at least 8 times and I've stayed at the Contemporary 7 our of the 8 times! There is nothing like a tower room, overlooking the Magic Kingdom. The feeling is just so...Disney. I always feel like part of the family when I'm there. I've also stayed in the wings a couple of times, and it really matters where you stay. Ask for a room closest to the Towers. Otherwise the walk is very long, especially if you want to run over for a snack. I'm having anxiety because we are off to the World on the 15 of August and I'm staying off site.

nothing like being so close to the castel and knowing it is an original resort. swimming in the pool with bay lake behind and the boats, it is magical. i looooooove this resort

Another major CR fan here. It suited our family perfectly, and we loved just about every aspect of it: the rooms (they "feel" much more comfortable than the photos indicate), the restaurants, the Jetsons-type atmosphere, the shops, the monorail coming and going, and more. Our favorite aspect, though, was the walkway to the MK - the fastest mode of transport to any park from any of the resorts we've ever stayed in.

If I had to pick one teeny thing I didn't care for, it was going down to the Food 'n Fun Center in the very early AM for coffee to find all the arcade games at full throttle - not a very gentle way to start the day! But it was so soothing to go upstairs and enjoy my coffee in the lobby or outside.

We had a Tower room (10th floor?) with MK view, and we felt an adrenaline rush every time we came in to see that view of the Lagoon with Space Mountain off to one side and the ferries going back and forth. Still, I'd happily stay in one of the Wing rooms, especially now that we're out of commando mode. And I can't wait to see a newly renovated room - the pictures are amazing!

We are some more CR lovers! We stayed here for the first time in 2003 with our 3 kids. This was just awsome!! We got 11th floor MK view, although we booked a wing room. Had to have that upgrade once we got there and yes we did pay for it. The kids loved the monorail running through it and some nights when DH was putting DD to bed, I would take the older 2 and we would ride the monorail for fun. We got to ride a few times in front and loved talking with the Monorail "driver". The kids also loved watching all the fun down at Chef Mickeys. We never heard anything coming from there when we were in our room, but when you opened the door, all the singing and dancing was going on and the kids would just watch and enjoy. I would love to be staying there again for our next trip, but with DD's best friend going and grandparents we are renting a house off property to cut costs. Next trip I want to stay at CR AGAIN!!!
