Contemporary Room Request

We leave in less than 2 weeks! We booked our stay through a travel agent. We were just looking at our room vouchers that we got. Not all the room request is on there. We are staying on the 12 floor tower club. It is noted that we would like a view of the MK. What is not noted is that we asked for nonsmoking rooms. Since none of us smoke we would like non smoking rooms. Does anyone know if they alow smoking in 12 floor rooms, if they don't this doesn't become an issue. We have 2 rooms and have requested connecting rooms if possable. Has any body stayed on the 12 floor had connecting rooms with a MK view? We made these requests through our travel agent when we made our reservations. Should we contact the CR about them or just asume they have them? Thanks

Hi, we stay at the CR tower every summer. There are 5 of us, but we want the extra room, so we ask for connecting rooms facing the pool/lagoon. We never ever had a problem in not getting it. I'm pretty sure they always give families connecting rooms. So don't worry about that, but as far as non smoking, well, I'm a smoker, so I was able to get 1 smoking room with the connecting room being non smoking. I can't imagine the not giving you 2 non smoking rooms. To ease your mind just give them a call & tell them that you need both non smoking rooms. I'm sure you'll get them & I know you will all have a great,great time. The CR so far is our all time favorite. The concierge is wonderful, helpful & friendly. You'll enjoy all the goodies they put out. THe rooms are larger so with 2 rooms none of you will get in each others way. Haa, connecting rooms in the CR tower Club, now thats the way to do disney.......

Requesting non-smoking rooms is just a request and is not guaranteed unless you need a non-smoking room for medical reasons. We ALWAYS get a non-smoking room guaranteed for that reason only. If someone in your party has a medical need, i.e., asthma, allergies, and other serious respitory illnesses, you can call and they will pull up your record and note this and you will be guaranteed a non-smoking room.

Wow, it's taken awhile but I finally made it on these boards- I could not get my computer to work it right!!! We stayed a couple of years ago in the Contemporary on the 12 floor -club level - limited concierge and enjoyed it thoroughly!!! We were in room #4832 and it was non-smoking- guaranteed due to health reasons. We were able to see the castle and the electrical pageant... it was wonderful. We did see some of the front parking lot too, but it has nice bushes and didn't bother us... Having breakfast ready was wonderful and convenient, we took trays to our room and ate in the room and on our balcony- snacks and waters in the afternoon were great too! We made our own dining reservations, so we did not need help in that area. Hope this helps...

Just to let you know we too also stayed on the 12th floor in December of 2001. It was great and we have no complaints but as was posted earlier to this thread it is not necessarily guaranteed that you will get connecting rooms. We had connecting rooms on our ressie request and when we checked in they informed us that there was'nt any left. Soooo after really working it up a manager came and gave us a comp. upgrade to the 12th floor with connecting rooms. We also did'nt get our request of the MK view but the lagoon view is just as amazing! I think they worked out something for us because in our situation we had my elderly parents with us and they were the need for connecting rooms. Even for medical reasons we did'nt get our initial request but no complaining here after they gave us the great upgrade. And yes now we are spoiled and want to stay on the 12th floor again!! BTW we went at a very slow time of year too-- the 2nd week of December. Enjoy!!
