Contemporary Room Request

Usually about a week or so before we get to WDW our TA would fax down a room request to our resort (of course, just a request with no guarantees - although we've never NOT gotten what we wanted). This next trip in Nov will be our first at the Contemporary and the first staying at Atrium Club level. Is it necessary to send any type of request prior to arriving? For instance, when we stayed at POR, we would request a top floor room away from the elevators. Aren't all of the rooms on the 12th floor pretty much the same (ie: no one room is better than the other)? BTW we booked a Bay Lake view room.

I honestly wouldn't bother. With the Bay View, you'll be in 4801-4824. I know in the past some people have made a point to ask for the side that isn't above Chef Mickey's when staying in the Tower because of the noise, but we never noticed it on the 12th floor (probably just if you are lower).

I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter what room you are assigned!

I didn't think it would matter either, but I wanted to be sure. Some have said that an odd room vs. an even room makes a difference with the view. True or not?

What I have been told is that in the odd numbered rooms, the beds face Epcot. So if you were laying in bed you could possibly watch Illuminations.

We stayed Atrium Club and LOVED it (Zach and Maggie were amazing--actually all the staff was awesome). On the MK View side the numbering matters if you want to watch Wishes from bed. We didn't care so we were fine with what we got. We had the 2nd room off the lounge and it was AWESOME. I think with a Bay Lake View it will be great no matter what!

If you do decide to request something, just email IPO and they can put your request in without going through your TA. I loved having IPO when we were there!

Our main room issue is quietness at night. I figured that being so high up that Chef Mickey's would be a non-issue. Guessing that the club level rooms are pretty quiet at night?

What exactly is on the 13th floor in between the concierge floors?

well that depends - do you like being up at 10:10 at night by the ELP - it is fun to watch but the music is loud..... It happens every night on the Bay Lake side.

No problem there. Can't wait to see it. We'll take the ELP as our cue to go to bed!

We were in 4803 not too long ago, right above Chef Mickey's, and we only faintly heard the music...while we were standing in the hall. You won't notice it, at all.

As far as viewing Illuminations, I don't think you'd get much out of it, since most of the action takes place at eye level in the park...the fireworks are not as abundant as Wishes.

ELP music is loud, but still, it didn't disturb us, as we were mostly still awake at the time...and we had the balcony door closed.

You will LOVE Club Level, the cast members are wonderful! It has been my son's favorite resort thus far...

There is no 13th floor. They skipped numbers. ;) We we stayed on 14, we requested a bay lake view. We had it's fabalous view, then went to the lounge for the MK view. Best of both worlds. :goodvibes I wouldn't bother with a request. Let them suprise you! They are all excellent.

Sounds like a plan. This trip is a surprise for my daughter's 13th birthday anyway, so let the surprises keep coming!

Space for mechanical, electrical etc. Not any rooms.
