Honeymoon to be spent either at Contemporary Resort or Dolphin?

Curious if anybody has stayed at both and has input? Thanks!

I have stayed at the Contemeporary and the Swan. I would pick the CR over the Swan anytime. It is one of my favorite resorts. You can easily walk to the MK, you can see the fireworks from the parking lot, you can see the water parade. It also has great places to eat :).

...And, am doing so again this summer. I am staying a month+ at the Dolphin, and a week in a 1BR suite on the 14th floor of the CR.

I PREFER the Dolphin, as I love EPCOT more than the MK. So, the proximity to this resort makes the Dolphin more ideal. Also, the Dolphin is more quiet than the CR, and more whimsical (One of my FAV words!), than the CR.

For your HM...you could split the stay, then you would have the best of both! Good luck, and congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! ;)

These are actually the only two hotels I have stayed at on site. Overall, i'd have to go with the CR. While it's not the most themed of the resorts, you can't beat it's location, convenience or magic!
You have a great view of the fireworks, the water parades and you are walking distance from the MK. Plus, with the monorail going right through your hotel, you're not far from Epcot either.

Don't forget the good places to eat as well.

Have fun!

hi: my son and dil split their honeymoon between a 1br villa at the boardwalk and the grand floridian. that way they had the best of both. congrats on the wedding!

I would go for the Contemporary. Can't beat walking to the Magic Kingdom. The Beach and Bay Lake are nice features as well.

I have been to the CR and the Dolphin and perfer the Dolphin! You can't beat it's location, beach theme, grotto pool and access to Ecpot, MGM and Boardwalk! happy planning!

From the Swan/Dolphin you can walk to Epcot and MGM or take the wonderful Friendship boats. The Boardwalk (with all it's restaurants and activities) is a three minute walk from the Swan/Dolphin. The location is great. For a honeymoon, it would be more relaxing. There tend to be less children running around the grotto pool than at most other hotels at WDW. Palio restaurant at the Swan has great food and a romantic atmosphere.WE also love the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk.
