Contemporary renovations

Any idea when they will be completed with all newly decorated rooms?

My sister is staying at the Contempory in two weeks and she called the resort last week to make sure she wasn't going to get moved to a different resort for her vacation. She started asking questions about the renovations and the CM told her that phase II will not even begin until Jan 2006.

Never trust the CM's - you can hear conflicting things from them. Renovations are now under way in the South Wing - it is completely shut down. They have not allowed people to overbook though - since they knew they were going to be closed. Currently if you booked a wing room, it will be in the North. I have heard the South wing will be done sometime in Oct but again, all hearsay. No one knows whether they will go to Concierge, the North wing or the tower next.
