Can you hear the booming of the fireworks from the contemporary rooms (mk view)? And if so, is it loud enough to keep your kids awake? TIA.

Yep. You can hear them from every room at the CR and BLT. As for keeping the kids awake... We were there 2 weeks ago with kids ages 1, 4, 7. We found that if the kids were already sleeping then the fireworks did not wake them up. But, when the 4 and 7 year old were still awake at that time, then they heard them and wanted to get out of bed to go see them. The 1 year old was never bothered by them and just kept sleeping. Some of the really big fireworks are REALLY loud. :)

We heard them from the garden wing room we were in, but they did not wake up the kids if they were already sleeping.

They aren't very loud in the rooms. If the kids want to get up to see them? Why not, they don't last long and the view is very nice.

We spent a week on the 10th floor and loved the view.

The rest of the hotel? Monorail service was subpar and the rooms, while large for Disney standards are tiny for "deluxe" labeling. I was shocked at how small the rooms were. Don't even get me started on bus service.

IMO the only two reasons to stay are the view and the ability to walk to MK.

We had a theme park room in the main tower and I didn't really notice them. My kids were 2, 4, 4 at the time. I've stayed other places (not Disney) where fireworks have been really distracting. At CR it seemed more like a faint background noise.

Wasn't really looking for you to rain on our parade, just a simple question. Thanks though. :badpc:
